Reporting to Head of FP&A and Strategy, this is a hands-on role at the centre of our planning and performance cycle. You’ll lead budgeting and forecasting, deliver reporting for the Leadership Team and Board, and work closely with stakeholders across the company. One of your main focuses will be to streamline and simplify our current FP&A processes, helping the team operate more efficiently and scale effectively.
You’ll join a fast-paced, collaborative, and mission-driven environment where finance is a true business partner.
Your responsibilities
- Streamline and automate existing reporting and planning processes, reducing manual work and improving speed and accuracy
- Lead the annual budgeting and reforecasting processes, coordinating across teams
- Own and maintain rolling financial model
- Deliver clear monthly reporting and insightful variance analysis for the Leadership Team and Board
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across different teams (e.g., Marketing, Underwriting, Operations and Data) to align on targets and assumptions
- Support ad hoc analysis and strategic planning initiatives
- Ensure strong documentation and knowledge transfer to support business continuity beyond the cover period
Your skills and experience
- 4+ years of experience in FP&A, ideally in a fast-paced or high-growth environment
- Experience managing budgeting, forecasting, and reporting cycles end-to-end, with a strong focus on automation and process improvement
- Demonstrated ability to implement automation solutions (e.g., Power BI, Alteryx, SQL, Python) to streamline FP&A processes and enhance data-driven insights
- Experience using tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar to support FP&A deliverables
- Strong financial modelling and Excel skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working independently and proactively managing priorities
- Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
Ways of working
On a typical day you’ll be working from a laptop with a screen, mouse, keyboard, and headset. You’ll be meeting your colleagues on Zoom and keeping in touch regularly via email and Slack too – we’d expect you to be using your computer for around seven hours a day. We’d ask that you have a distraction-free work area and a reliable internet connection with a speed of 25Mbps so you can work effectively. We’ll make sure you have the right home set-up that supports you in the role by providing best-in-class technology, money towards a desk, and vision support.
