About the Opportunity

Our Brand and Marketing team plays a pivotal role in spreading the word about ManyPets - making sure that our brand remains front of mind and consistent, at all points of the customer purchase journey.  We’re looking to welcome a senior communications professional into our pack, who will help us amplify our global brand and help us establish a trusted paw print in any new markets we want to approach next. 

Our business has scaled quickly, and we know we can do more to build our brand reputation and product awareness, both now and in the years ahead. We'll look to you to define our overarching communications strategy and make sure potential and existing customers know who we are - and what we stand for.  You'll own and lead the delivery of our strategy through all communications channels (both internal and external) and have a focus on both owned and earned media, including social.  We'll also look to you to help shape our corporate communications narrative from ManyGroup, which will help us articulate our ambition to partners, talent and investors.

There's a lot of scope and potential to have a big impact from day one and you'll be working as part of our global team, so you'll have exposure to stakeholders from across our whole business.  The opportunity will suit someone who is used to working in an entrepreneurial (and at times ambiguous) environment where change is constant - and flexibility is vital.  We're also a regulated business so you'll need to be comfortable switching between ensuring we're compliant - and innovative in equal measure.

Your Focus

Strategy and Delivery

  • Craft and create our 18-month, rolling communications and engagement strategy - gaining buy in and support from our leadership team and key stakeholders across the Global business.
  • Iterating our approach to allow us to deliver to our near-term marketing plans and build effective strategies to support our long-term vision.
  • Partner with our local teams in Sweden, USA, and UK to shape our in-country narratives, local delivery, and our development of a wider multi-market narrative.
  • Build and maintain a calendar of communications across relevant channels. Introduce an editorial strategy to ensure timely delivery of high quality cross channel communications. 
  • Leverage our available data and insight to track engagement across various platforms to gauge effectiveness of communications. Ensure all investment and activities for communications and engagement are delivering value.
  • Work with our Internal Communications Manager to ensure consistency of messages and to drive and motivate our unique team to new heights of achievement.
  • Establish a corporate communications workstream for ManyGroup, ensure that our business’ narrative and successes are well communicated to the industry, partners and potential investors.
  • Work with our internal creative and external PR teams to prepare and manage communications materials.
  • Manage media relations and develop contacts with media members, influencers, and community leaders.

Compliance and Regulatory

  • Develop and lead our crisis response communications strategy. Own and manage communications as part of the business continuity team. 
  • Make sure all communications are compliant in the territories they’re aimed for.
  • Liaise with our internal Compliance team to identify the impact of legal and regulatory changes; planning and implementing any training required.
  • Identifying learning and development needs which ensure compliance with PRA/FCA and company requirements.
  • Oversee any internal audit processes for your team and provide clear guidance, plus recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensuring appropriate provisions are in place that ensure the integrity of compliance, in line with the PRA/FCA requirements.

Leadership and Team

  • Partner with peers in different regions to lead or contribute to appropriate Guilds, which aim to create and deliver world-leading solutions for ManyPets, globally.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to your team, that encourages both personal commitment and a high-performing culture.
  • Set individual objectives for your team - carrying out regular performance reviews to manage implement personal development plans.
  • Work with your team to provide regular informative updates to the team which maintain business awareness, performance, and morale.
  • Lead by example and role model our company values - inspiring others to do the same.
  • Help our team to deliver actionable insight across the business, helping us react to ever-changing market conditions.
  • Collaborate with People and Finance to implement team resource plans, utilisation forecasts
  • Partner with People to recruit, onboard and embed talent within your team.

What We’re Looking For

  • You're likely to be in a similar level role and you've crafted a career that covers all aspects of communications and engagement. You bring global experience, and love to keep ahead of trends in different parts of the world.
  • You’ll have the commercial acumen to understand how our business operates across multiple geographies - and the conviction to confidently communicate this through our media channels.
  • You’ll be able to flex your approach between audiences - you understand both digital natives and more traditional online/offline channels.
  • You’re comfortable with the role of communications and engagement within the wider context of marketing - and are used to collaborating with a wider team to deliver on projects.
  • You’ll have an aptitude for the written word and have a superb command of English language, both written and verbal.
  • You'll know how to balance delivery in a local market, while working alongside a broader global team and brand.
  • Ideally, you'll have some experience of working in a fast-paced business. Things move very quickly here, and it'll set you up for success if you've done this before.

Hybrid-Working

Everything changed overnight when the pandemic happened.
